Hey guys! Here is a tid bit about me and how Rustic Rose Design was born.
I grew up in a small town and learned to treasure the simple things in life. I have always been a creative kinda gal; painting on anything I could get my hands on. My family has always been very supportive of my creative endeavors. I'm sure my Grandpa cursed my name a time or two when he couldn't find his hammer or screw driver.
Thankfully, my creativity led me to a degree in graphic design and not a life of tool thievery. I landed a great job designing promotional products for a promotional company a few years ago. During this time I started refinishing furniture, designing invitations for friends and creating decorations for my home and parties. I found that these projects fed my insatiable, creative appetite.
Most of the furniture I worked on was found at yard sales or thrift stores, some even on the side of the road. These vintage pieces were over looked and under loved. I felt that I could revive, revamp and give new life to these diamonds in the rough.

Soon my garage was over-flowing with pieces of furniture. I became so busy that I contemplated leaving my full time design job to pursue my creative endeavors in design, furniture and home decor. I finally mustered up the courage to leave my job. Once I did, there was no turning back! There was something so satisfying about walking into a hardware store with paint in my hair and on my arms. I was designing and creating with true passion again. Rustic Rose Design was born from a place in my heart that treasures simple, rustic elements and timeless, beautiful design.
